KSA #1: Write articulate, persuasive and influential reports, proposals, letters [Communication]

 
Research Report


I decided to share this work that I completed in an advanced writing course at Towson during my Junior year. This was the last paper that was due in this course, which allowed me to apply previous knowledge from the course to improve upon my writing. I think this report exemplifies my ability to write clearly and concisely with supporting visuals and graphs. This piece of work was an accomplishment because I improved my writing throughout the semester. Other students in my class even asked me for help while writing their final reports. I think my writing skills will be beneficial in my future career because I can use them when presenting results or findings to a supervisor or upper-level executive. Analyzing business models may be something I will do and I plan on continuing to grow as a strong business writer.

Overview


This KSA focuses on communicating an idea through effective business writing. The three factors necessary to excel in this KSA are articulation, persuasion and influence. I think this KSA is extremely important because almost eevry job position requires some amount of writing. Employers can benefit from graduates with superior writing skills, and I consider myself to have such skills. I have improved my writing through my courses at Towson and hope to continually progress in this area.
